The Tucson Chapter of Chicks n Chaps™ will host its 6th Annual Women’s Rodeo Clinic on Sunday, February 17, in conjunction with the 94th Annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo.

To date, we’ve raised nearly $30,000 for LOCAL breast cancer support. These funds provide treatments, much needed supplies and support through the Arizona Oncology Foundation to patients and their loved ones in Southern Arizona suffering from this awful disease.  But we’re not stopping there!

We’re 6 years old and we’re changing things up!

We’ve got exciting new activities for our clinics and more “Many Shades of Pink” stories to share. Plus, we’re offering more flexibility in how you can enjoy this one-of-a-kind event.

Only have the morning available?  Register for the clinic, you’ll be done by 12:30 p.m.  Included with all registrations is parking, champagne brunch, rodeo clinics, and a gift bag.

Busy in the morning but still want to be a part of this amazing event?  Buy a rodeo ticket to sit in the Chick Pit! Skip our clinics and spend your afternoon cheering on the cowboys and cowgirls all while supporting Chicks n Chaps and the Arizona Oncology Foundation.

Or do both!!  The choice is yours!!

If you stay until the last bull bucks, your Chicks n Chaps event entry will get you into the Coors Barn Dance for free too!

Chicks n Chaps™ is for EVERYONE! So gals and guys, cowgirls, cowboys, and city folk alike, come join us as we look behind the chutes at the sport of rodeo and support a great cause.

7:30 a.m.  Registration opens

8 – 10:30 a.m.  You’ll start your day behind the chutes with a warm beverage and a delicious treat from Creative Catering. You’ll learn about a “Day in the Life” of our stock contractor as he shows you some of his amazing animal athletes. You’ll also hear from professionals in rodeo who know the sport inside and out, and explore the history of rodeo in Tucson.

Then it’s time to get an up close and personal look at the sport of rodeo. What does a day look like for a cowboy or cowgirl, or the flag team, or bullfighter? They’ll tell you as they demonstrate their skills.

And its not all dust and dirt, cowboys and cowgirls like to look good too.  Boot Barn will show you how to glam it up western-style at our second annual fashion show!

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Join us in the Tucson Rodeo Parade Museum for a fabulous champagne brunch and presentations from guest speakers, and our not-to-be-missed heartwarming “Many Shades of Pink” stories, illustrating who really benefits from this event.

Last…don’t miss the Silent Auction!  Featuring generous donations from donors throughout the community. all the proceeds benefit the Arizona Oncology Foundation. Credit cards accepted.

Want to stay and take in the 94th Annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Rodeo after our event?  No problem!  Just add a ticket for a seat in the Chick Pit to your registration.   Don’t forget your family and friends, pick up a ticket for them too, and have them meet you at the rodeo!

12:30 p.m. – It all starts with RAM Mutton Bustin’ and the Justin Junior Rodeo.

2:00 p.m. – The professionals take over the arena competing for more than $460,000 in prize money. The Tucson Rodeo–the first major outdoor event on the PRCA schedule and one of the Top 10 professional rodeos in the country–gives visitors an opportunity to see real-life cowboys and cowgirls display their abilities in the only sport in the world developed from work skills.

  • Be sure to bring your ID if you will be partaking in any alcoholic beverages.

  • PUBLIC SAFETY PROCEDURES: Know what you can and cannot bring to the rodeo.
