Chicks n Chaps® is a Women's Rodeo Clinic during any PRCA Rodeo that chooses to participate. You'll get to spend time with Cowboys and Cowgirls learning how to rope, ride a buckin' machine, or get a tour of the bucking chutes. You will get a basic tutorial of the 7 events of professional rodeo.
A really fun afternoon with your girlfriends! You'll spend about an hour and a half in the rodeo arena with the Cowboys and Cowgirls. We have complimentary food and drinks for you to enjoy during that time and during the rodeo. We have set aside a "Chick Pit" area for you to sit and watch that evening's Rodeo performance, which starts after the clinic. You'll also get a bag full of goodies, a t-shirt and the knowledge knowing your money is helping someone in our town who has breast cancer.
All proceeds raised from any Chicks n Chaps® event will stay in that local community. Chicks n Chaps® is passionate about helping those directly affected by breast cancer in the communities where the money is raised.
Anything that is comfortable for you. We do NOT recommend flip flops as you will be in the dirt. You can get your "Cowgirl On" and wear boots and Wrangler Jeans or wear shorts. We don't care! As long as you are comfortable.
A typical Chicks n Chaps® clinic lasts about 1 or 2 hours. Sometimes there will be a Rodeo Performance after the clinic that you will also be invited to attend. If so, the rodeo will last an additional 2 or 3 hours.
You'll be near the rodeo holding pens, but there are not any live animals. We'll have the mighty bucky if you want to give that a try, but it's not mandatory. This clinic is about having fun, learning what rodeo is all about, and spending the day with girlfriends raising awareness and money in the battle against breast cancer.
An attitude for fun! Don't forget your ID as NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 IS ALLOWED IN THE CHICK AREA! Bring some cash as you may want to purchase raffle tickets. It will be warm, so bring items to beat the heat; sunscreen, hat, etc. Also...please remember to drink responsibly and have a designated driver. We want our chicks to have fun AND be safe.
